Canon

Having solved all the quadratic equations the world can throw at her, the Maths Whiz, who read English at Vanderbilt, has returned to the humanities, having decided to read all of Shakespeare, to the exclusion of everything else, one presumes, until the canon has been emptied. She’s blogging about it, and we’re curious to see if anyone in the Library’s Canon Club will tune in and compete. Our guess is that she, being a fastish reader, will finish reading all the Shakespeare there is to read well before the Club gets to the end. Keen competitor that we are, we would start our own Complete Read except that we just started the new Roddy Doyle, and then we’re thinking we should finally do War and Peace so that we can sit at Tony Covatta’s table this summer. So much to read. So little time.

  1. Thanks for the plug! Am currently entangled in MWoW, and wondering if carrying a ten-pound book around with me all day counts as proper exercise.
