Moose & Qualls

mooseandquallsTwo points of interest for Stacked readers – the blogosphere’s most discriminating participants.

1. Mike Moose, the superb designer and thoughtful past president of the Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati and a good friend of the city’s most design conscious institution that is not, say, an actual design school, has a blog, good news for readers, bad news for supervisors who suspect their employees are concentrating on something other than their work. The blog opens with stuff from the recent Brewery District charrette containing all kinds of nifty ideas for the area north of Findlay Market.

2. Roxanne Qualls, whom one would have expected to be on Complete Streets like white on rice but who seemed to be dragging her feet, has, according to Soapbox, finally gone public with a Complete Streets proposal to council. This is excellent news for Cincinnatians who have been reading wistfully about the great work other cities are doing to make streets where pedestrians and bicycles are considered to be worthy of attention and care that is at least equal to that given motorists. Stacked readers should let Councilamerican Qualls know how happy they are about this development.
