The Non-blogger unfairly assigns us to the Anglophile column. That is quite wrong. We are proudly American. We drive a Buckeye-built Honda. We believe in food allergies. All that stuff. It was pure coincidence, then, that our weekend reading was the new Kate Atkinson and the entertainment of choice for the visiting Wolfe pups was The Pirates of Penzance (American production, we point out) which the pups thought was excellent fun, particularly the dancing Peelers. That W. S. Gilbert. Still funny. Still a little dangerous. Probably up there with, if not Shakespeare, Jonson. And Kate Atkinson! It is all we can do not to fake a case of influenza to get us out of the office and back home to finish the book. Full report to follow.
