Poetic Injustice

03-22-12 005The Walnut Street Poetry Society, the Library’s increasingly robust special interest group, met yesterday.  This year WSPS is tackling long poems.  Yesterday’s job at hand Ezra Pound’s Cantos.  It was, by all accounts, an extremely good session to which a guest who had actually known the poet had been invited.  There’s always a little something served to go with the coffee at the regular second-Wednesday-of-the-month session.  One would have thought, wouldn’t one, that instead of cookies there would be pound cake, but pound cake was not to be found in the neighborhood bakeries, not even for ready money.

Something needs to be done about this.
