More Graphic Novel Reading Group News

In addition to the exciting Jeff Suess activity Ed posted about earlier, other members of the Library’s scrappy Graphic Novel Reading Group have been up to some pretty interesting things lately:

1. Long time group member Jane Durrell reviewed the March book, Asterios Polyp, on WVXU’s “Around Cincinnati.”

2. Alan Jozwiak, another long time member, has a play (Tainted Love: A Zombie-Human Love Story) in this year’s Cincinnati Fringe Festival.

3. The May discussion will be about two great graphic novellas: Set to Sea by Drew Weing, and one of my favorites, The Death Ray (previously known as Eightball #23) by Dan Clowes.

Wouldn’t you love to talk about graphic novels with such a talented group of individuals?  Although they usually meet at 1 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month, the May meeting will take place on May 19th.
