Our snatch and grab luck failed us Friday. Make that a partial failure since we grabbed two, but haven’t finished the second which will get its own post, but since we are only mildly taken with the unfinished, don’t expect much. What we did finish was Bad Moon, a second crime novel by Todd Ritter. We haven’t read the first, and we don’t plan to, as we were not at all happy with Bad Moon for multiple reasons, the most important of which was the failure of the not particularly suspenseful plot to overshadow writing that reminded of us the stultifying short stories in the ladies’ magazines at the Sunday afternoon aunt’s house where there was absolutely nothing NOTHING to do. We were even unhappy with the police chief/heroine’s name: Kat.
Fortunately, Scripsi just dropped the new Tom Rob Smith in the in-box.
