Everything’s coming up Norm

It’s a warm, springlike day in the middle of November.  The sun is shining, and I am in near perfect health.  I have a loving wife and a beautiful two-year-old son.  I got to spend my entire workday in a  charmingly old timey, yet functionally modern library, full of extremely personable and highly competent colleagues, the city’s oldest public art collection, and thousands and thousands of books. Can today possibly get any better?

Why, yes.  Yes it can.

  1. Near perfect? Near? What’s wrong?!

  2. A slight case of razor burn on the anterior surface of my chin. I expect to make a full recovery.

  3. So I went onto my Kindle and bought “Wolf Hall.” In the very first passage young Tom Round Head took a perfect beating on a near perfect day in 1500. I’m trying to imagine the perfection that may follow in the sequel.

  4. Wolf Hall is going to be hard to top.
