It’s probably a sin to write about automobiles in Bicycle Month, but we had a much delayed realization this weekend. While watching a Top Gear (the original – it doesn’t sound as though the American epigone is worth our time) feature on the Nissan Cube, it finally dawned on us what must have dawned on our famously sharp readership ages ago which is that the Nissan Cube, which was, before being unseated by the Prius, the most popular motor vehicle in Japan according to Jeremy Clarkson, had to have been designed by Matt Groening’s creative team at Futurama as the ideal vehicle for monocular babe Turanga Leela. That just explains so much about the car.
We did read a couple of pretty good thrillers, about which more later. The above was really gnawing at us.
