A Bloomsbury Biking Life

Ms Borgnes Giramonti approves of this bike, available at Target.

Thoughtful readers may have been considering arriving on two wheels to the Hearth and Home event at the Library this coming Monday.  It is, after all, Bike Month, and this is, after all, a beatified bike destination, and Lisa Borgnes Giramonti is, after all, all about joie de vivre.  And there is so little joie in arriving by Impala.  What bike to wear?  Whatever is in your garage, we answer.  Hose it off if it hasn’t been out since last fall.  If someone nicked your bike over the winter, there may still be time to find one of the elegant models featured in Cycle Chic or even a utility number from Copehagenize, but there’s nothing wrong with shopping from one of the local sponsors of Bike Month.  Whatever you arrive on may be brought up to the foyer if you cannot bear to leave it on the street, something we do every day since the installation of the minimalist rack in front of the cigar shop downstairs.
