In which Norm faces facts and comes up with a backup plan, which is then thwarted by a dead Russian

Well, since I am probably not ever going to be pretty much universally hailed as the English language’s greatest prose stylist, I suppose I’ll have to make a name for myself by developing a groundbreaking theory on the evolution of the polyommatus blues family of butterfly.

Unless, of course, someone has already… Oh, crud.

Dammit, Nabokov.  Leave some stuff for the rest of us, wouldja?
