All seats have been booked for David Simon’s turn at the Harriet Beecher Stowe pulpit. All seats have been booked for the Curtis Sittenfeld deal. Are we like the airlines? Do we overbook? If we do, where do we send you when we can’t seat you? One of those Inspirational Lectures at the Aronoff? A motivational lecture with Zig Zigler at the USBank Arena? We hope never to find out.
Planning to come to the Sittenfeld event? Are you one of those people who calls half an hour before the show to ask where to park?* There is only one correct answer to the parking question this week. Park in our foyer, the way we do. It is, after all, bicycle month, and you are planning to pedal down, aren’t you? Don’t forget your blinkie, as it will be darkish when you emerge. No fee to park in the Library, of course. And there is always space.
*We aren’t kidding. Those calls come with astonishing regularity. There is also almost always a call from someone on a mobile in a car asking “Where exactly are you?”
