Local Boy Makes Good as Indie/Cult Phenom, almost Wins Big Prize

UpIn the end, Tobias Wolff took the Story Prize’s Silver Bowl and $20,000 purse, but to be in the company of Wolff and Lahiri says a lot. -Ed Scripsi

  1. Akashic has some great books on noir, a couple of which reprint stories from Ohio writers O. Henry, Langston Hughes, Paul Laurence Dunbar, and Ambrose Bierce.

  2. A friend recently gave me one of their San Francisco Noir books, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
