David Kamp- Tuesday, March 3rd

kamp190If you’re one of the millions of Americans who eat food at least once a day, you’re going to want to be at the Mercantile on Tuesday night at 6:30 to see David Kamp.  As you probably know, David Kamp is the author of “The United States of Arugula: How We Became a Gourmet Nation,”  as well as dictionaries for rock, film, food, and wine snobs.  He’s a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, a very smart and entertaining writer, and thus just the sort of person who you’d definitely like to hear speak.  Especially if there are refreshments involved, which there are.

This talk is the first part of the Library’s “Hearth & Home” series, which includes an evening with NY Times food critic Mimi Sheraton on March 19, and a panel discussion on March 23, moderated by Findlay Market’s Mary Stagaman, which will feature  local chefs, food writers, and Valeree from the excellent Cincinnati Locavore blog.

All of the evenings include refreshments and start at 6:30 in the p.m.  Members can come to any individual night for $10, or to all three for $25.  If you aren’t a Library member, the cost is $15 each or $40 for all three.  To RSVP, give us a call (513.621.0717) or CLICK HERE.
