Books By The Banks

bbtblogo.jpgYour blogospheric pals Norm, Ed, and Nemo will all, at one time or another, be on duty at the first ever Books By The Banks (we had nothing to do with the name and it’s too late to do anything about it)  at the Duke Energy Center ( the erstwhile Cinergy Center, erstwhile Cincinnati Convention Center, erstwhile 6th Street Market House, erstwhile Indian mound) where they will be happy to chat with their readers even as they tend to their bibliomultitasking.

Books By The Banks (in early planning sessions there were dreamy visions of bibliotents pitched in the potential park somewhere south of the Freedom Center on the banks of the unpredictable but picturesque Ohio River) will one day grow into a two, three, or even four day literary festival, but this year everything will be compressed into the hours between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 3.  There will be a little too much attention paid to families and children, but that should not keep serious readers away from this opportunity to meet 88 local writers and, it is hoped, buy some of their wares. Face painting has been banned and will be banned as long as Nemo Wolfe draws breath.

  1. I’m confused. I don’t see any “Duke Energy Indian Mound ” on that list.
